MAGNETIC TABLES
How Does the Electro Permanent Crimping Table Work?
The current-controlled magnetic blocks (AlNiCo in the coil) are magnetized by a few seconds of current pulse. The magnetic blocks are oriented in the opposite direction to the Neodymium permanent magnets when the magnet is in the closed position. The magnetic blocks are oriented in the same direction as the Neodymium permanent magnets when the magnet is in the open position. Since electropermanent magnets have a very strong clamping force, they retain their clamping force even in the event of a current failure.
